Historic flooding is forcing the evacuation of tens of thousands of residents and prompting a statewide emergency as search and rescue teams are deployed. This extraordinary flooding has impacted many Catholic parishes and schools in areas such as Burlington, Mount Vernon, Snoqualmie, Kent, and Issaquah. In response to this disaster, the Archdiocese of Seattle opened the Emergency Relief Fund, which is designed to provide financial support for parishes and schools to address the urgent needs impacting their local communities during a disaster. At St. Bridget Parish on January 22, at 7 PM, there will be a screening of a documentary about The IF Project, a collaboration of currently- and formerly-incarcerated adults, community partners, and law enforcement focused on holistic intervention and the reduction and prevention of incarceration and recidivism. The IF Project’s founder, a Seattle police detective, and the current director will be present for post-film conversation. This is an extraordinary story! More information to come. All are invited to a special Mass at Assumption on Friday, December 26 at 9:00 am in commemoration of the anniversary of Fr. Oliver Duggan’s passing. We gather in gratitude for his life, his ministry, and the many ways he touched our parish community. May he rest in God’s eternal peace.

Please join us for the Annual Wrap Party for the gifts from the Advent Tree. We will gather in the Assumption Fellowship Hall after the 9am Mass on Sunday December 21st. Donations of wrapping paper and bows will be greatly appreciated.

Celebrate the beauty and joy of the season with our annual Parish Family Simbang Gabi at OLL! Join us on Saturday, December 13, for the 5 PM Mass, followed by a festive community meal filled with warmth, tradition, and delicious Filipino flavors. All are welcome to take part in this beloved Advent tradition. If you’d like to sing with the choir or share a Filipino dish, please sign up by clicking the image. Come experience faith, food, and fellowship as we prepare our hearts for Christmas!

CYO Sports are open to all students who are parishioners, where they attend one of our catholic schools or a non-Catholic school. Our Lady of the Lake (Lions): 5- 8th boy and girl teams. 4th grade co-ed learning league. St. Catherines (Tigers): 5- 8th boy and girl teams. 4th grade co-ed learning league Assumption St. Bridget School (Bulldogs): 5- 8th boy and girl teams. No 4th grade co-ed learning league. (Students are welcome to join OLL) Based on registration numbers, schools sometimes combine to formulate teams. If the interest is large at a school, then there will be multiple teams per grade. The middle school teams might be divided between varsity and junior varsity after an assessment. All students who register will be placed on a team. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us. We look forward to seeing you this season!

All seniors are invited to join us for a festive Senior Social on Wednesday, December 17, at 11:00 AM at Assumption. Come enjoy good company, light refreshments, and a joyful time together. We will also have a gift exchange — those who wish to participate are invited to bring a wrapped gift (recommended value $20). We look forward to celebrating the season with you!

Our NE Seattle Catholic community will continue to provide a monthly Sunday supper delivered between 5:00-6:00 PM to Tent City 4 at its current Lake City location, 12531 28th Ave. NE, Seattle 98125. This is just north of the Lake City Library. Thanks to the advocacy of many in and out of government, Share/Wheel has received permission for TC4 to stay there through mid-May 2026.
